  • Absolutely—this is highly encouraged. Before scheduling a new session, we’re happy to offer a complimentary 15-minute phone or online video consultation where you can ask any questions you may have.

  • Yes, telehealth sessions are available as long as the client is physically located in Tennessee or West Virginia at the time of the appointment. Sessions are conducted using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform and can be used for regularly scheduled appointments or as needed due to illness or inclement weather.

  • Yes! We are in-network with Cigna/Evernorth.
    If you're covered by another insurance provider, we may be able to electronically file your claims as an out-of-network benefit or provide you with a superbill for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance company to understand your specific out-of-network reimbursement policy.

    In addition, we've partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for therapy sessions through your out-of-network benefits.

    Mentaya is a great option if you:

    • Have out-of-network benefits

    • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance paperwork

    • Have submitted claims in the past but didn’t receive reimbursement

    Here’s how it works:

    1. Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.co/inviteclient/restoringhopetherapy

    2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.

    3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles all follow-up with your insurance.

    4. You receive reimbursement directly from your insurance company.

  • Yes. We reserve select time slots in our caseload to offer sliding scale and reduced-fee sessions.

    We partner with Open Path Collective, and with Project Heal to offer reduced fees and scholarships.

    Additionally, Restoring Hope Therapy Services offers services provided by Master's-level MFT interns and Pre-Licensed Clinicians. These providers work under the supervision of an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, offer high-quality care at a reduced cost. Working with an intern or pre-licensed clinician can be a great option for clients seeking affordable therapy without compromising on professionalism or support.

  • Yes. credit cards, debit cards, and HSA cards are all accepted. You also may pay by cash or check.

  • In most cases, coordination of care with other healthcare providers is included in the standard therapy fee.
    However, specialized consultations or extensive paperwork may incur an additional charge of $50 per hour. To allow your therapist to coordinate care on your behalf, you will need to sign a Release of Information form (available in your client portal).
